FAQs
Injury Therapy Pro FAQ’s
1. Which appointment do I need?
If it’s your first time or you haven’t been to us in over 9 months, we recommend booking an Osteopathy initial consultation. This will give us enough time to go through a thorough case history and examination to create a diagnosis, give treatment and formulate a plan. We will advise if you need a different appointment in future.
Remember an osteopathy treatment can also include rehab, manipulation, massage work, and dry needling/ acupuncture as part of the session. Whereas a sports massage will be just that.
2. What should I wear?
For all our treatments, we need to be able to see the area in question that we are treating. This means the skin of that area and often requires dressing down to underwear. So we recommend shorts, and sports bra’s for women. For example we cannot assess or treat a knee problem if wearing leggings.
You will be given privacy to change but we must be able to see the skin of the area we are treating.
During the treatment towels can be used to preserve modesty.
3. Is there parking nearby?
Yes. You can park on the street directly outside the clinic. Parking is charged Monday-Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm, and Saturday 8.30am-1.30pm. Payments can be made using the Ringo app, or by calling 0207 125 0039
We unfortunately do not have any permits for parking.
There is free parking for 90 minutes at the Liverpool Road Sainsbury’s car park, which a 5 minute walk away. The car park entrance is on Tolpuddle street and they use APNR (automatic number plate recognition) to record the duration of your stay.
4. How do I pay for my treatment?
We insist on payment in advance of appointments for everyone’s convenience. If you book online you’ll be prompted to pay at that time. Otherwise you’ll receive an invoice that needs to be settled BEFORE your appointment. It allows our clinicians to be able to just focus on the job at hand.
We do accept cash, but you must bring the correct amount and pay your clinician before the session. If you do not have the correct amount the extra will be added to your account.
We accept Apple Pay, major credit cards and bank transfers. All details of which can be found on your invoice.
5. What’s the cancellation policy?
We have a strict 24hour cancellation policy for cancellations and rescheduling. After this time you will be charged the full fee for the appointment.
We understand things do happen outside of our control so please get in touch asap if you need to modify an appointment and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
6. Can I bring my dog with me?
Unfortunately we cannot allow animals into the clinic, no matter how well behaved, cute or cuddly they are. Many people are allergic or scared of animals so we don’t want to subject anyone to this.
7. Is there disabled access?
Our clinic is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. Our reception is small but there is room to manoeuvre into each treatment room. Please do inform us ahead of your visit if you have access needs or require help.
8. Can I bring my bike into the clinic?
We cannot allow bikes or scooters etc into the building unfortunately, unless they are foldable. This is because they present as a health and safety hazard.
9. Do you have a waiting list?
Yes. When booking your appointment let us know that you’d like to be added to it (in the booking notes or with our reception team). We’ll add you and contact you should something become available with your chosen clinician sooner.
10. Do you only treat athletes?
No. Although we are known for working with athletes, dancers and within theatre, sports and show business, we treat everyone and their families. However we do not specialise in treating babies or children.
11. Do you take insurance?
Yes. We are registered with multiple insurers, but not AXA or BUPA. We require patients to pay for all their appointments upfront. We will then supply an invoice containing all the details you need to be reimbursed by your insurer. It is your responsibility to check the terms of your membership and that you will be covered for treatment. Sometimes this requires pre-authorisation, a GP letter or paying an excess.
Please also remember that we are an Osteopathy clinic and your cover should be for Osteopathy or one of our other services (not Physiotherapy).
